ARE YOU READY TO BLAST OFF??!!!
I am very excited to announce I currently have some openings available on the Southside! (Unfortunately, lessons on the the West, East, and North sides are still wait-listed). Wow! This past year has went by so quickly and I can't believe we are already into BLAST OFF (Spring Session)! I am so excited to see the amazing progress each of you are making! Please remember that this session, BLAST OFF, goes from January until May and then you will need to pre-enroll for SOAR (Summer Session) which goes from May until the end of July. It is very important current students pre-enroll for SOAR as soon as possible. SOAR (Summer Session) is one of the busiest times at Reach for the Stars Tutoring.
Below is an outline of the dates for each session, as well as a general overview of what I hope to accomplish, with each of my students, during this time. Each session follows a linear learning process which I have likened to a rocket ship shooting into the stars.
IGNITE (Fall Session) August 1st - Dec 31st.
During IGNITE my mission is to equip each of my students with the skills needed to be successful during the beginning of the school year. Usually this means a review of some of the skills they needed last year and then as the session moves on we begin to work on more difficult skill sets.
BLAST OFF! (Spring Session) January 1 - May 20th
By now students should have a firm grip on the skills we learned during IGNITE (Fall Session). During the BLAST OFF (Spring Session) we will work on learning more difficult skills needed for successful completion of each student's grade level.
SOAR! (Summer Session) May 21-July 30th
After a full year with Reach for the Stars Tutoring, students should now be ready to move on and excel in their next grade level. During the SOAR (Summer Session) we will do a quick review of skills learned in the previous grade level as well as begin working on all the new skills needed for the next grade. I encourage all students to participate in the SOAR summer session. Over the years I have noticed student's who complete SOAR have better relationships with their new teachers, are more confident in their academic endeavors, and do better than their peers during the first grading period. Summer session is a perfect time to get caught up if a student is behind or to get ahead if a student is ready to move forward.
