Why Your Student Might Need a Tutor...

It’s no secret that parents want their kids to be successful in school, but how do they know when it’s time to hire a tutor? Hiring a tutor doesn’t mean your child isn’t smart. In fact, the majority of the students I tutor are making good grades. Their parents just want to give them the "upper" edge when it comes to education. It doesn't matter whether your child is struggling in school or is doing well, tutoring can help. When you decide to obtain tutoring for your child you are really investing in his or her future. Students, who are tutored, are much more likely to go to college and ultimately have a rewarding career.

Under Performing Student

How do you know if your kid is under performing?
  • Falling behind in school
  • Studies hard, but continues to do poorly on exams
  • Reads below grade level
  • Dislikes school
Top Performing Student
Getting into college seems to get more competitive every year, and top students are looking for every advantage they can find to get them into the college of their choice. Tutors can help elementary aged student gain that competitive edge that will be needed to get into a top university and achieve his or her educational goals.

Frustration

Whether your child has become frustrated with school or you have become frustrated with your child's grades, a tutor may be just what you need!  Often, parents as teachers are a bad mix. Sometimes, students just need an adult who has teaching experience to help them succeed. I can help alleviate your frustrations, as well as your child's.

Learning Disability

Students with learning disabilities often need more time or different learning styles than other kids. I provide both of these to help your child. My bachelor's degree is in Special Education and I have worked with student's who are autistic, Deaf, blind, and dyslexic to name a few.
