Why EVERY Child Needs a Tutor

Rosen of Scholastic, even gifted, or “High Ability”, students can benefit immensely from the specialized attention of a tutor who challenges and motivates them.  When working with the gifted children I often will teach them math or reading concepts that are far above their current grade level.  In the past year, I have even helped one child to skip a grade because the skills he learned from me were so advanced. 

 Over the last several decades our world, as well as our educational system, have changed drastically.  Students who enter kindergarten are now expected to know all their alphabet sounds and be able to read basic sight words.  Pupils in grades one through six are expected to know more and more about algebra and geometry as they pass from grade level to grade level. The educational demands placed on our children today are so, so much greater than ever before and that’s why every child absolutely needs a tutor.
